Job Title: Trailer Technician


Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Authorization/Supervision: Shop Foreman

Objective:

The primary function of the position will be to diagnose and repair trailers used for construction at various job sites or at the maintenance shop. This individual must be flexible and open to possible overtime and outside conditions throughout the construction season. This individual must also be able to make timely repairs, provide ongoing maintenance and monitor trailers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect all trailers to determine needed repairs.
  • Discuss trailer problems with supervisor and others as needed.
  • Repair, replace, calibrate, adjust and/or rebuild components.
  • Test repaired trailers for proper operation.
  • Inspect, add and/or change fluids and lubricants for all types of trailers.
  • Check and replace worn parts and perform other routine service and maintenance.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment and commercial motor vehicles.
  • Perform necessary welding and fabrication.
  • Remain current with knowledge of trailers to be serviced.
  • Assist with ordering parts, materials and supplies needed for repair and maintenance.
  • Use of electronic maintenance system to create work orders, track labor hours and materials.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Shop Foreman.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness while working at job sites and at the shop.
  • Understand and adhere to all safety regulations.
  • Understand and adhere to the Personal Protection Equipment requirements.

Education and Experience:

Class A Commercial Driver’s License is preferred, or ability and willingness to obtain.
DOT Certification is preferred, or ability and willingness to obtain.

The primary function of the position will be to assist shop personnel by gathering parts and other shop inventory to maintain productive work flow at the maintenance shop or at various job sites. This individual must be flexible and open to possible overtime and outside conditions throughout the construction season.

Job Environment:

This position will require time being spent in the field during the construction season. The Demolition Estimator/Project Manager will interact on a day to day basis with administration, the management team, and the project workforce. This is a deadline-oriented role, where time requirements fluctuate according to the bid/project schedules. Some travel will be required as dictated by the project opportunities. The Demolition Estimator/Project Manager position is a full time, year-round position.

  • Assist mechanics in the shop/field in various projects & repairs
  • Provide ability to perform shop parts running including but not limited to driving pick up w/ trailer, short periods of heavy equipment operation & forklift operation.
  • Assist in maintaining yard & equipment in an orderly fashion.
  • Perform various duties in & around the shop to maintain clean/safe work environment.

Job Title: IT Administrator

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science.

Experience: 5 years of IT experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Objective:

This position will be responsible for all IT needs within the Company.

Job Environment:

This position will be located at the St. Cloud corporate office. However, time spent at job sites to resolve IT issues as well as conduct onboarding may be required.

Relationships/Management:

This position will interact with all levels of personnel within the company including union and non-union employees, administration, department managers and support personnel, and will interact with external sources such as third-party IT providers and software developers.

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

IT Administrator:

  • Install, configure and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, scanners, VoIP system, smart phones, tablets and various IT equipment as needed.
  • Perform system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes and ensure proper backups are in place.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted users.
  • Set up new users based on various specifications and diversified needs.
  • Assist, perform and coordinate training to users in all departments company-wide on key business systems.
  • Continuously monitor and address the needs of users within the company.
  • Provide prompt technical support to all users within the company, including users at remote job sites.
  • Manage IT assets including hardware and software licensing inventory. Repairing and replacing inventory as necessary.
  • Active involvement with testing and deployment of all new technology.
  • On-call and after-hours work required when necessary.
  • Travel to remote job sites, on occasion, may be required.
  • Coordinate and manage third party support when appropriate.

Character attributes/behavioral expectations/prior experiences:

  • Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with servers and networking equipment.
  • Strong understanding of business operations and processes, and the ability to identify and implement IT solutions that solve user needs.
  • Communicates personably and tactfully with users of varying technical knowledge levels.
  • Experience with direct and self-guided remediation of server outages.
  • A technical, logical thought process
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage own time efficiently.
  • Must be willing to accept and adapt to change and a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
